Right now there are two federal electorates which aught hang their heads in shame at their choice of parliamentary representation, one is Robertson, the other, Indi.
While it seems en vogue at the minute to take pot-shots at beleaguered MP Belinda Neal over the so called “Iguana-gate” imbroglio and the “pattern of unacceptable behaviour”, it seems a deliberate distraction to draw attention away from the equally unacceptable behaviour, equal misuse of parliamentary privelidge and equal lowering of parliamentary standards brought about by “Indi’s shame” Sophie Mirabella.
Let’s hope the parliamentary privelidges comittee eradicates not one but two embarrasing indictments from our Parlaiment.
To the people of both Robertson AND Indi, if you direct your vote based on a party logo with no consideration to the candidate wearing it, don’t be surprised when you end up with a “member” who (judging by the language) would be more at home at a bordello than in the coridors of Parliament.

It’s entirely possible you have missed some of the less savoury antics of “Indi’s shame”, I think that’s the point.
All this attention has been aimed squarely at Belinda Neal (partly earned) but it’s the shifting focus away from the equally obnoxious behaviour of Sophie Mirabella that I find offensive.
In any rate, the parliamentary privelidges committe has been instructed to examine the entire exchange between MPs Neal and Mirabella rather than just the sound-byte we’ve heard on the news ad infinitum.

well given that the Parliamentary privelidges committe is apparently ALP dominated at present, I’d say there’s every chance it could blow up in Sophies face…in a big way.

OK, Sophie, time to don the full metal protection.
Maybe they’ll look into the time (only last year) she was drunk in parliament and was the first ever serving- Government MP to be kicked out of the house of reps for unruly behaviour. Sophie’s an attack-dog for sure and as much as I think Belinda Neal is about as charming as Aunty Jack and should get the boot, I’d like to see Sophie go too.
It’ll be a better parliament without the two of them that’s for sure.
As punishment (for both), perhaps Belinda should be made to deliver Sophie’s
demonbaby.If it’s a boy she could name it ‘Damien’ (The Omen) and if it’s a female demon … well, call it Belinda obviously!

It’s so one sided it beggars belief, yes Belinda Neal’s behaviour was unacceptable, but what about the rat bags on the other side of the house who have done as much (or worse) without so much as an eyebrow being raised in the media?
Not just Sophie Mirabella either, Wilson Tuckey, Dana Vale etc. I mean the Liberal party caucus is an absolute rogue’s gallery if ever I’ve seen one.
Well, it’s par for the course. That’s what an Opposition does, it nitpicks and clutches at straws. Especially one whose stocks are as low as the Libs. If that’s the best they can come up with (and it seems so) Rudd has nothing to worry about in the forseeable future.
